Automotive Suspension Manufacturer
A cash crisis in this automotive supply chain business led to significant losses and growing lender concern, requiring support to re-stabilise the business.
The company was refinanced to enable growth while also delivering some equity release for the majority shareholder, with more suitable lending partners brought on board.
Revenue and profitability were stabilised, a clear platform for growth was identified, and the business was sold to a trade buyer best positioned to deliver that growth.

Specialist Education College
Declining student numbers created financial pressure, so experienced support was brought in to develop and deliver a three-year recovery plan. In year one, operational cash stability was achieved.
In year two, the organisation returned to profitability, student numbers were back on track, fundraising exceeded plan, and the school successfully transitioned back to mainstream banking.
While delivery was extended by one year due to Covid, the programme ultimately achieved a full recovery by year four.

Bespoke Joinery
Business
A downturn in the housebuilding market created challenges for the business, and support was engaged to future-proof the company.
As a result, revenue increased by 40%, profits grew by 500%, debt was reduced, personal guarantees were released, and the business returned to mainstream lending within two years.

Precision Engineering Business
Following the founder’s death, the son stepped into leadership and Accelerus was engaged to provide hands-on executive support, strengthen leadership capability, and help re-establish control and stability across the business.
Under the restructure delivered with Accelerus, the company returned to profitability, a new permanent Managing Director was appointed, and the shareholder transitioned into a Non-Executive Chairman role.
Relationships with lenders was stabilised, and the business delivered £500k profit in the year following the restructure.

Diagnostic Imaging Services Provider
Accelerus was engaged by a private equity-owned healthcare services business to help prepare the organisation for sale, delivering measurable improvements in cost, quality and service across market-facing business units.
Working closely with the CEO, CFO and Regional Leadership teams, we completed a structured performance diagnostic across operational sites — analysing service delivery, productivity, cost drivers, customer outcomes and working capital performance. This informed a clear value creation plan and prioritised improvement programme aligned to sale readiness requirements.

Concept Car Design Business
Following the sudden death of the founder of a specialist car modelling business - with no succession plan in place - stakeholder confidence was at risk and urgent stabilisation was required.
Accelerus was engaged to provide hands-on leadership, strengthen governance, and protect value for key stakeholders. We stabilised major customers and revenues, improved profitability and cash generation leading to debt reduction, and built a new executive team to support long-term continuity.
The business was sold to a trade buyer, delivering a strong return for the Trust Estate and securing the jobs of 120 employees.

Audio & Visual Electronics Supplier
An AIM-listed business required leadership support following the founder’s death, as poor management decisions — including significant overstocking of FMCG — created serious financial pressure.
Accelerus was engaged to design and lead a major recovery programme, stabilising liquidity and repositioning the business for long-term growth. We delivered a stock dispersal programme that reduced debt and released cash, streamlined routes to market, and refocused the business onto the automotive sector with Tier 1 capability.
The company also secured a global patented technology platform, creating the potential for £30m of new business, and the restructured business was ultimately sold to Private Equity.

Food Label Machine Manufacturer
Following a failed expansion into China, the UK parent company came under significant financial and operational stress.
The owner engaged Accelerus to provide hands-on support and mentoring, helping to stabilise the situation and deliver a positive outcome for all stakeholders.
The business was sold to a US corporate, bank debt was settled, shareholders realised equity value, and loan notes were repaid. Accelerus was subsequently retained to lead the post-acquisition integration programme.

Regenerative Medicine Business
This collagen harvesting business required leadership support after gaps in operational and financial management capability began to restrict progress and hinder fundraising.
Accelerus was engaged to strengthen the operating model, improve financial discipline, and support the funding strategy.
We helped secure a sustainable supply of sufficient jellyfish to underpin growth plans, enabled a successful £1.5m fundraising outcome through the approach adopted, and ensured the business was positioned to deliver against its growth plans.

Innovative Speaker Technology Developer
An innovation in speaker technology required experienced leadership to successfully commercialise the product and take it to market.
Accelerus was engaged to provide hands-on strategic and operational leadership, strengthen the management team, and support investment readiness. We halved operating costs, implemented a new sales structure, and supported the development of industry-leading headphone technology.
The business attracted £3m of investment, completed a board restructuring programme, and management responsibility was successfully transitioned to a new CEO to lead the next phase of growth.
